Welcome

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the ifo Institute in Munich and research affiliate of the CESifo Research Network. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the Technische Universität Dresden.

I contribute to the quarterly economic projections of the ifo Institute and the Joint Economic Forecast commissioned by the federal government of Germany.

My colleagues and I developed an automated model to forecast current GDP growth of Germany. Up to date forecasts can be accessed here.

My research activities mainly focus on applied macroeconometrics:

  • Business Cycle Analysis

  • Now- and Forecasting (with special emphasis on industries and regions)

  • Long-run Economic Growth

  • Regional Economics
